Bradley Richard brings a wealth of worldwide teaching and playing experience to the Cottonwood Country Club’s Golf Program. Since turning professional in 1999, Bradley has taught over 4,000+ lessons in the US and Japan, helping players of all ages and abilities enjoy the game more and compete at higher levels.
Bradley is a Salt Lake City native and graduate of the University of Utah who began his golfing career working on the grounds crew at Mountain Dell Golf Course. After enjoying success as the Assistant Professional at Stonebridge Golf Club, Bradley toured professionally in the United States and Asia.
Following the 2008 season, Bradley began coaching at Eitoku in Nagoya, Japan. During Brad’s five years coaching in Japan, his teams won three Chubu Region championships and sent 17 students to the All-National Japanese Golf Championships. Since returning from Japan in 2013, Bradley taught at Bonneville Golf Course, where he focused on vastly improving the Junior Program curriculum offered by Salt Lake City courses. For the past two winters, Bradley has been teaching indoors at GolfTEC, allowing his students to continue refining their games during the off-season.
Bradley’s hands on approach to teaching and theories about body dynamics include promotion of fitness and nutrition as an integral part of his instruction. His pupils include Utah High School All-State Players, State Amateur participants and Club Champions, but Bradley’s true pleasure comes from helping players of all abilities achieve their goals on the course.
“I am excited to be part of a Club with a fine golfing tradition and a membership that appreciates the beauty and challenges the game presents. My goal is to make the Cottonwood Country Club synonymous with excellent player development and a place where families can truly enjoy the game together. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on the course this summer!”
